250's to 450's. So yes, 250's do feel lighter and turn quicker when dodging trees going through the woods. The trade off is loss of power/torque on the 250 vs. 450. Often on race bikes you find very little difference between 250 vs. 450 in weight, but riding them, they feel totally different in character and handling.People of shorter stature will appreciate the CRF250F's lower seat hight and lower weight. The KLX is equipped with way better suspension but it also needs a few things to be (IMHO) dialed in. It needs exhaust and fuel programmer because the bike is severely choked down from the factory. Runs quite hot in stock form.
I'm also 6'2". The KLX250 and CRF250L both felt too small to me. The KLX300 is based on the same frame and still feels small. Not sure what the new CRF300L. Been very happy with my WR250R though. It feels ergonomically correct. The DRZ400 also feels good for my frame, but EFI and better suspension was worth the small power loss to me.
